Victory for Anti Corruption: Police officers reject N500,000 bribe.

It was another anti-corruption victory in Lagos when operatives
of Lagos State Police Command operatives arrested five suspects transporting stolen items after being allegedly offered a bribe of N500,000.
The suspects, Lawal Saheed, 40, Taofeek Adenigba, 43, Ope Olowolayemo, 28, Azeez Jamie, 41 and Omotayo Adewale, 34 were arrested on Sunday around 3 am on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
Items found in the possession of the suspects include 25mm iron rods, property of China Construction Engineering Company (CCEC).
The Command’s spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement said that the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has opened an investigation into the matter and the suspects would be charged to court as soon as possible.
